Automated Sales Variance Analysis Spreadsheet

This product was designed alongside a Shopping Centre which need a complex weekly report "automated".  

The time taken to produce the data for this weekly report went from 3 - 4 hours to about 10 minutes!

But the methodology I have used everyday for several years.

The methodology utilises some advanced MS Excel Analysis tools which once demonstrated make a great deal of sense 

and once used, you will struggle to understand why you have never been shown them before!

Sales analysis is quick, easy and accurate without long and complex Excel formula's.

All that is required is some thoughtful planning at the beginning of the data capture, and the results will astonish.

And the functionality is already built into MS Excel, no VBA or SQL programming required etc.

I can honestly say that since I was shown this methodology by a wiz kid consultant with Shell back in 1998, it has saved me 

hours of time, hugely enhanced the analysis potential of every dataset I have used since and my thinking now is always to build 

datasets with this functionality in mind.
